Week 4 , just when you think things can't get any worse along come the Pirates & beat up your Centre. With Durin & now Presley out for the season any thoughts of a revival in the Saints camp are now dead in the water. Personally I can't wait for this season to end.

Our season hung on the week 2 & week 8 games which we lost by 3 points & 1 point respectively. Upon reflection we should have Won both games but for some bad official calls & bad luck. That would have meant a 7-3 finish (as predicted)& the play offs instead of the 5-5...Oh well..C'est la vie & back to the drawing board or should I say Trade board !Prime objective for season 10...We need to find a way to beat the Scurvies again !

4 - 1 Mid-season on the face of it looks pretty fair but it should be 5 - 0, had we not thrown away a comfortable lead in week 2 & succumbed to the Gunslingers by 3 points. I take full responsibility for that, in as much as I put too much faith in the ability of inexperienced QB Calenderos. The fact is he has the potential to lead the Saints but hes not ready to take full responsibility yet. I should have stuck with Jablonski & given Calenderos a slower introduction. We found it very hard to get into the end-zone in weeks 2,3 & 4 & had to rely on Ace Kicker Tinteretto to keep the score board ticking over.gave Jablonski his job back in week 5 & he nailed the mules for 284 yards & 2 TD, not bad for his first action of the season. We have the makings of a Quarter Back Academy here in Louisiana with Veteran former star Cortez, all-rounder Macarthur,Jablonski, last years draftee Flavelli & this years rookie Rivaldo all progressing very nicely. ProBowl legend Defensive End Emmanuel John has found a new lease of life this season & is once again leading the sack table with 13.He took an unfortunate knee to the head against the Mules & suffered concussion, which means he will miss out on a reunion with his nemesis Captain Jack Sparrow, but he will be back in a couple of weeks. All star Returner Bertie Biggles joined us in the pre-season trade window & has inspired our Special Teams unit to be one of the best in the league. Injuries permitting we look good for the play-offs & my 7-3 prediction for the season looks highly attainable, indeed we could exceed it & possibly win a third EAST Division Title. This weeks battle against the scurvies will determine those possibilities, but for the first time for 3 years the Pirates look beatable.I'm really looking forward to this weekends match.

First two week defeats were expectedStill looking good for the predicted 7 -3 season & making the play-offs. The truth will be revealed in week 6. Beating the Mules is the key to the season

Well here we go again. This is a do or die season for the Saints aging veterans. If it doesn't happen this season it wont for a good 3 or 4 as we will need to rebuild for sure after the aging Gods take vengeance on our Old fellas next close season. The outcome will rest as usual on how we fare against the Wraiths & our arch enemies Captain Jack Sparrow & his band of cut throats.I'm quietly optimistic that we can make the play-offs at least!
